Whey protein is acquired from the byproduct of milk coagulation in the process of cheese production. As it is derived from milk, it features not only all essential amino acids, but also other nutrients such as fats, minerals, and vitamins. However, whey protein may cause allergic reactions to those who are allergic to milk and lactose.
