There are currently dozens of pasta available in the market today. Here in this article we will talk about two type of pasta where both of them have the same long shape but are slightly different. They are linguine and spaghetti. These type of past is very popular and can be served with many variants of sauces. Linguine is one of many type of pasta made with flour and egg in the fresh variants while the egg is replaced with water in the dried form. Here is delicious recipe to make creamy chicken pesto linguine. First prepare all the needed ingredients such as, 1 lb dried linguine, ½ cup chopped onion, 2 cloves minced garlic, olive oil, 4 boneless and skinless chicken breast cut into strips, garlic powder, black pepper, ½ cup pesto sauce, 3 cups of mixture of milk and cream or half and half, and ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese. After all the required ingredients is present, we can start to cook the linguine. In a big pot, bring water to a boil and add with some salt, put the linguine in and continue to cook until al dente. While the pasta is cooking, in a skillet sauté onion and garlic with little oil, until the onion became transparent. Season the chicken with garlic powder and black pepper and add the chicken to the skillet. When the chicken is cook through, add the pesto sauce, then add half and half and parmesan cheese, then continue to stir and cook in a medium heat until thickened. When the pasta is cooked, drain it from water and pour into serving plate. Scope the sauce and pour on top of the pasta and finish with parmesan cheese if wished.
Spaghetti is a type of Italian pasta which have a long, thin cylindrical shape. Spaghetti is an Italian staple food and currently popular worldwide. Spaghetti just like any other pasta is made from wheat and water also sometimes is enriched with minerals and vitamins. The authentic Italian pasta is made using durum wheat semolina but in many places pasta also made with many kind of flours. Spaghetti was originally very long but in the 20th century somehow the shorter type became popular until these days. Spaghetti nowadays commonly available in 25 to 30 cm long. Spaghetti can be served with many different kind of sauces but the most common is tomato sauces, meat sauce and vegetables. The first record found about spaghetti is date back in the 5th century AD and refers to dried pasta which is cooked through boiling it in a hot water.
Here is delicious recipe to make spaghetti with meat sauce. First prepare all the require ingredients such as, 16 ounces dried spaghetti, ½ pound ground beef, ½ pound ground Italian sausage, 2 cloves minced garlic, 14 ounce can crushed tomato, 7 ½ can tomato sauce, 3 ounce can tomato paste, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 ½ teaspoon dried basil, ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, ¼ teaspoon fennel seeds, 1 bay leaf, freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste. After all the needed ingredients is present it is time to cook the spaghetti. In a large pot bring water to a boil and pour the spaghetti. While the spaghetti is cooking heat minced beef and sausage using a Dutch oven or large saucepan on medium heat until brown for about 5 minutes. Drain the liquid and put garlic, continue to stir until fragrant for bout 3o seconds. Pour the crushed tomato, tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, basil, Italian seasoning, fennel, bay leaf, 1 teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Simmer all the ingredients for 30 minutes uncovered. After that remove bay leaf and add more salt and pepper to adjust the taste. When the spaghetti is al dente, drain the pasta and pour in a serving plate and scoop the sauce on top of the spaghetti, serve immediately.
