The long journey of Stupp with its restaurant ended when he choose to resign from the restaurant and start working from the back of the factory. He began his barbecue products in 1992, bringing many wonderful sauces which live on even after he passed away. So with a long story behind Stubbs BBQ Sauce, you probably love to know more about this product, so let’s see more below.

Stubbs BBQ Sauce review

Aroma and Texture
A wave of tomato aroma is what we found when we first open the cup. This aroma is mixed along with the sweet scent from the ketchup and a slight vinegar aroma. The combination of these aromas is very fantastic and complicated. Though, still, the usage of tomato in big amount is what makes Stubbs BBQ Sauce smells very refreshing. The other way around, the texture is not that thick, but still, it is not watery at all. The thickness is right in the center, and the sauce doesn’t quite flow off the spoon, it is coming down in globs. The sauce is mixed nicely, but some ingredients like black pepper, garlic, and onion powder are still visible to us.

Performance and Taste
Like the first smell, the first taste is also about pure tomato power. The tomato paste tastes very deeply with some heavy dose of vinegar. Not much of sweetness, instead we get some black pepper and smoky chipotle. Even though not all the taste is dominated by tomato, but there are many other ingredients which come out with the minimal effect but still punching in your mouth making it complicated. The important thing about BBQ sauce is about how it mixed with the food. And the Stubb is bringing the tomato base again; the sauce tastes mostly about the tomato. However, the minimal caramelization in the meat is giving us a beautiful and deep flavor with some sweetness in it. Even though the sauce is quite interesting, but there is an inability to pair it with various meat which makes it quite a waste. The flavors of this sauce before cooked is better than after it is cooked. The heavy flavor is the problem about this sauce; this explains why you better put this sauce on a beef which can make a balance with this sauce.

Stubbs BBQ Sauce is a delicate and delicious BBQ sauce, but it is quite hard to pair this sauce with the meat whereas the meat is usually overwhelmed by this sauce. The sauce is giving no room to the meat, and this thing results in the inability to make balance out of this sauce. So it is better to put this sauce on a great food like beef which can pair its flavor.
